From 9.30am – Doors open to Stock Village Hall for setting up
10.30am – Welcome
10.45pm – Closing time for items for EHA Sales Table
11.15am – All entries for AMT Cup, Margaret Lyon Cup should be in place by this time and voting will take place during the lunch break. Branch Displays should also be complete by this time for judging to take place over lunch
11.30am – AGM to commence
1.00pm – Lunch and voting by members for cup entries. Judging of branch displays
2.00pm – Speaker
3.15pm – Presentation of Trophies & raffle draw
3.30pm – Close of meeting. Tea and cakes.

AGM Afternoon Talk
THE CLOTHES OF VICTORIAN EAST COAST FISHERMEN
This is the story of how the clothing of late Victorian oystermen, who worked in harsh North Sea conditions, was researched and recreated using the methods and materials of the time. The Pioneer Sailing Trust and members of Brightlingsea U3A worked together on producing the clothing layer by layer from underwear to weather-proofed outer ware, on finding materials and patterns and learning something of the social and economic conditions of working seafarers.
The talk will be illustrated, along with the clothes that were recreated and show the journey and outcomes of the research which cumulated in the production of a book ‘Oysters and Oilskins’
Non-members also welcome. £5 entry fee.
